VETUS, a world-leading marine equipment manufacturer renowned for innovation, quality, and sustainability, shares an update from one of its most inspiring partners, Sailing La Vagabonde, as they continue their globe-spanning adventures.

From the heart of the Pacific to some of the most remote island anchorages on earth, the Australian family-run sailing team of Riley and Elayna (and their two young children) continue to inspire millions of followers around the world with their stories of exploration, family life at sea, and sustainable ocean living.

As proud supporters of the Sailing La Vagabonde mission, VETUS provides a range of advanced marine systems on board, ensuring safety, reliability, and comfort wherever their voyages take them.

VETUS Systems on Board

Among the VETUS products supporting Sailing La Vagabonde's adventures are:

  • Fresh water pump and toilet to help balance comfort and sustainability for a family living, off-grid.
  • Portholes, lights and hatches for protection in any weather and ease of accessibility
  • Anchor Rode Counter & Windlass Control offering a one-touch, intuitive interface to support when docking and navigating.
Each system contributes to a safer, more efficient, and enjoyable sailing experience, a key factor in enabling the crew to travel further and share their journey with the world.

A Partnership Built on Shared Values

VETUS's partnership with Sailing La Vagabonde reflects the company's ongoing commitment to innovation, dependability, and environmental stewardship.

With over 70,000 nautical miles sailed and nearly two million YouTube subscribers, Riley and Elayna continue to showcase how thoughtful design, strong equipment, and sustainable choices make modern ocean voyaging possible.

Highlights from 2025: Mission Micronesia

This year, the Sailing La Vagabonde crew embarked on their boldest project yet. 'Mission Micronesia' was a six-month journey exploring the remote islands and atolls of the Western Pacific.

From exploring Guam, the Mariana Islands, and now the Federated States of Micronesia, the team's route has taken them through challenging passages, pristine coral ecosystems, and rarely visited anchorages, all documented through their ongoing YouTube series watched by over one million people.

Through storms, repairs, and stunning island stopovers, VETUS equipment has remained a cornerstone of the vessel's performance and safety.

"It's been an incredible few months out here," said Riley and Elayna. "We've faced squalls, long passages, and remote anchorages and having dependable systems from VETUS makes a huge difference. It lets us focus on the journey and the places we love."

Sander Gesink, Marketing Director at VETUS, added: "We have enjoyed watching Sailing La Vagabonde and their adventures, bringing our technology to life. We have seen them push their vessel and equipment to the limit, and their confidence in VETUS systems shows the real-world reliability our products are built for."

Continuing the Voyage

As Sailing La Vagabonde continues its Pacific exploration, VETUS is proud to play a part in their story, supporting a global community of sailors, dreamers, and ocean stewards. Through their shared commitment to innovation and adventure, both VETUS and Sailing La Vagabonde continue to inspire the next generation of cruisers to explore responsibly and live sustainably.
