Musto's new EVO collection wins the 2025 British Yachting Awards Clothing Innovation of the Year

Musto's EVO range has won the 2025 British Yachting Awards 'Clothing Innovation of the Year' category held in conjunction with Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting
The British Yachting Awards is an annual celebration of all things sailing, from the finest bits of kit, to the most extraordinary feats of endurance or skill out on the water. The shortlists for each of the 12 categories included some of the biggest brands and most famous names in sailing, as well as growing marine companies, along with amateur yachtsmen and youth sailors. What makes the awards so unique is that the winner in each category is decided exclusively by the public and over 17,000 people casted a vote this year.
The 'Clothing Innovation of the Year' award category shortlisted four products selected by the Sailing Today editorial team that offered increased performance, safety, and comfort for sailors whatever environment they choose to sail in. The public voted in favour of Musto's EVO range.

Musto's EVO collection for 2025 brings cutting-edge science to outdoor performance wear, with innovative thermo-regulating technology designed to keep sailors comfortable, whether they are working hard or standing still.
The EVO Therm Primaloft Waterproof Jacket and the EVO Polartec 3-in-1 Adapt Waterproof Jacket, alongside the EVO Windproof Knit in the men's range, are the hero products of this new collection, which is bolstered by a wide range of mid-layer, lighter layer, fleece jackets and tops for men and women. With over 60 years of engineering high-performance sailing gear, Musto has pushed the boundaries once again: this new EVO series features body-mapped design and advanced insulation to regulate body temperature as conditions, and your activity level, change.
Musto has a long history of research and development of products before releasing to market - whether this is on the water or in the lab - to ensure their garments exceed expectations. For the new EVO Collection, Musto worked with the Institute of Applied Sciences at the University of Chichester. Researchers led by Dr. Andy West tested the EVO Therm Primaloft Waterproof Jacket in a temperature controlled chamber going as cold as 1 degreesC and as warm as 8 degreesC.
Test subjects swallowed biometric sensors to track their internal body temperatures and had two additional temperature sensors on their chest and forearm, to measure temperature fluctuations during both low and moderate activity. The results? The new EVO Therm Primaloft Jacket performed as well or better, helping regulate body temperature and maintain comfort regardless of activity levels or varying temperatures demonstrating that this new jacket is a great solution to take the wearer through the winter and into Spring/Summer.
