The 2026 Finn Open European Championship will be held in Gdynia, Poland, from 20-27 June.
The Notice of Race has just been published, and entry is set to open on 7 January, 2026.
It will be the second time in six years that the Finn class has designated its European Championship to Gdynia, in the capable hands of the Polish Yachting Association.
In 2020, Gydnia was one of the few venues able to run regattas at the height of the pandemic, and the PYA successfully ran the combined Open and Masters Europeans when much of Europe was closed.
The Finn class is delighted to return to the Gdynia, famous for its challenging sailing conditions and great hospitality. It will be the first major event in Europe in 2026 as both the class world championships are set to happen in Brisbane, Australia, in February.
Following a recent decision to limit entry again, the maximum entry will be 120 boats, on a first come first served basis. 20 places will be reserved for U29 until March, so sailors are advised to make plans to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, when entry opens on 7 January.
