The 2025 Junior European Championship for the Nacra 17, 49er, and 49erFX classes came to an exciting close today at Circolo Velico Sferracavallo, following four days of high-level competition that tested both skill and strategy across varying weather conditions.

The final day began with an AP postponement due to light rain, but as the clouds cleared, the sun broke through and the wind picked up, allowing the fleets to launch. Sailors faced challenging yet spectacular conditions — strong gusts, big waves, and shifting current — that made for a single, intense race across all three classes before the wind dropped completely and the rain came back.

In total, the Nacra 17 fleet completed 9 races, while both the 49er and 49erFX classes finished with 8 races overall.

2. Lorenzo Pezzilli & Tobia Torroni (Italy) - just one point behind
