Just as the international 52 SUPER SERIES race teams set their pre-season goals and objectives to achieve their best possible result at the end of the season, so to does the series lay out the sustainability aims and objectives for the year.

And, similarly, there are specific goals at each venue which contribute to the main target, leaving a positive lasting legacy wherever we go, inspiring change and motivating individuals and organisations to prioritise environmentally responsible choices. The overall report for the five regatta 2025 season is encouraging, but we are already reviewing what we can do better for 2026.

In 2025 the sustainability program kept pace with aims and objectives. Progress is achieved through persistence, collaboration, teamwork and innovation. Just as incremental gains on our racing campaigns make the difference, so small, consistent steps add up to meaningful improvements. And our consistent messaging continues to educate and inspire.

eSpring water system is more efficient and more widely used In practical terms a new partnership with eSpring made a big difference. eSpring is an Amway product, the world's number one direct selling company and leading brand in home water purification.

At the start of the year, eSpring joined as an official sustainability partner, providing us with their state-of-the-art eSpring Water Purifier, featuring innovative UV-C LED technology and an exclusive e3 Carbon Filter. Each unit can treat more than 5,000 litres of water per event an impressive contribution toward our mission to eliminate plastic waste. And the improved capacity means happier teams as they load up on drinking water each day. Bear in mind those in the main aerobic/strength roles require up to 10 litres per day.

The system was introduced at the first event in Saint-Tropez. Alongside this, we continued our successful unused food re-distribution initiative with Secours Catholique, donating over 300 meals to local communities. Volunteers carried out a beach clean-up, collecting a lot of trash. More concerning in some respects - as it could be considered the 'hidden enemy' - was over 1kg of micro -plastics.

In Baiona, our attention turned to education and community. Together with the local sailing school, more than 48 young sailors took part in a sustainability workshop, writing their personal messages for a greener planet and visiting Alkedo Vitamina to experience all aspects of racing and running a TP52. At the same time, Al Mundo Necesitado helped collect and redistribute 95 kilograms of food, while our ambassadors met to discuss new ideas for improving sustainability across the circuit.

The Cascais event marked another milestone as we once again worked with Sailors for the Sea Portugal under their Clean Regattas program, the only global certification for sustainable sailing events. We collaborated with Re-food Portugal, we collected surplus food to provide meals for more than 250 people. Volunteer divers from host organisation, the Clube Naval de Cascais led an underwater clean-up, removing debris from the seabed. A beach clean-up followed, where 40 young sailors joined in and later had a tour on team Vayu's TP52, gaining a first-hand view of professional sailing. At the awards ceremony, we proudly retained the Platinum Level Certification which we first won in 2023 and is the highest standard of the clean regattas program - confirming that sustainability truly lies at the heart of our operations.

In Puerto Portals, Mallorca, our collaboration with 2024 XS Game Changers award winners marina Puerto Portals and Fundación Palma Aquarium brought the sea to life for local children through the interactive Exploradores del Mar workshop, where they learned about marine species and the threats they face from human activity. And our longstanding partnership with Yachting Gives Back offered an estimated 410 meals distributed during the week. As ever here is a sharp reminder that tourism may be booming in beautiful cities like Palma, there is more homelessness and food poverty than ever before.

We concluded the 2025 season in Porto Cervo. Unused food was collected in collaboration with a local church association, further extending our outreach to the community and marking the third consecutive season in which we successfully have re-distributed food at all events.

During the final awards ceremony, American Magic Quantum Racing, the race team which were one of the outstanding pioneers in sustainable initiatives and a consistent inspiration to others, was recognized as the eSpring Game Changers for their leadership and continued dedication to sustainability across the 52 SUPER SERIES.
