Boatology will host the Australian debut of the Cantiere Mimì brand and the first model, the Libeccio 8.5 Cabin, at the 2025 Sydney International On-Water Boat Show.

Embodying the "Made in Italy" ethos that is renowned worldwide as a mark of exceptional design, craftsmanship and heritage, the first model from Naples-based shipyard, Cantiere Mimì will make its Australian debut at the 2025 Sydney International On-Water Boat Show, 13 to 16 November.

Represented in Australia, New Zealand and Asia by Boatology, the brand's Libeccio 8.5 Cabin will be on display during the four-day event.

In a massive coup for the local dealer and the broader Australian industry, the Italian naval architect, Valerio Rivellini and Cantiere Mimì Director, Domenico Senese will attend the Sydney show to introduce the brand and its unique range of gozzo-style motor yachts, known for their seakeeping, stability and unmistakable style.

Valerio Rivellini, recognised as one of Italy's leading naval architects and designers and Domenico Senese, a scion of the celebrated Cantiere Mimì boatbuilding family celebrating their 50th anniversary, will personally accompany the first Mimì model to our shores.

The 8.5-metre (28-feet) Libeccio 8.5 Cabin boasts all the hallmarks of the classic gozzi designs with contemporary features such as a spacious cockpit, on-deck galley and generous swim platform, characterised by impeccable joinery throughout.

Below decks, a double cabin and separate bathroom complete the package, making the Libeccio 8.5 Cabin the ideal elegant day cruiser capable of overnights or weekends on the water.

Powered by single Yanmar engine up to 230 HP, this dynamic motor yacht cruises at around 12-15 knots with a top speed of 25 knots.

Then, arriving in early 2026 is the flagship of the range, the Libeccio 13.5 Cabin, which comprises three cabins and two ensuites, with a myriad of features as standard and options available.

"Hosting the launch of the Mimì Libeccio brand at the Sydney International On-Water Boat Show is a rare privilege," stated Zain Moloobhoy, Founder of Boatology.

"We are honoured to welcome Valerio and Domenico to Sydney to share the very best of Italian design and craftsmanship with local boat lovers, and we are confident visitors to the Sydney show will be enchanted with this fine example of Sorrentine boats (gozzi) which incorporate advanced technology and innovation with a proud seafaring heritage that dates back centuries."

Valerio Rivellini said he was looking forward to visiting Sydney to experience the region's premiere boat show and present the first Mimì model down under.

"Libeccio is a range of modern gozzi, designed for owners who seek something unique that also evokes the elegance, charm and tradition of a more carefree, unhurried way of life - la dolce vita so revered by Italians and admired the world over," he said.

"We are passionate yacht designers and builders, and we are extremely proud to present our debut model in Sydney."

Boatology will display the Cantiere Mimì Libeccio 8.5 Cabin at stand M144 on the marina at the 2025 Sydney International On-Water Boat Show, 13 to 16 November.
