22 sailors were faced with an incoming storm but with no sign of wind when they arrived on Sunday morning for one of the Thames Valley ILCA open meetings. The start was postponed for a short time but we were then treated to an ever-increasing breeze throughout the four races. The much appreciated lunch set us up for the afternoon.

The race officer gave us some interesting start lines and the competition was tight in the ILCA 6 and 7 fleets with the sailors tested by the shifty and gusty southerly. More photos and video clips on Frensham Facebook page.

The runaway winner in the ILCA 4 fleet was Kit Bentall from Norfolk Broads YC. In the 6s, Tristan Harding retained his title by narrowly beating Andrew Soars in the last race. Will Sadler from Reading SC came third.

In the 7s Clive Eplett came top but he didn't have it all his own way with three different race winners. Second overall was Edward Clifford with Andrew Hill-Smith from Papercourt SC a very close third.
