The IMOCA Holcim-PRB arrived today at 6:35 p.m. local time (7:35 p.m. French time) in Portsmouth, the starting city of the second leg of The Ocean Race Europe.
This arrival in the British port marks the end of a unrelenting race against the clock that the team had to undertake after the damage sustained during the collision in Kiel a week ago.
The entire Holcim-PRB team was on the dock to welcome Alan Roberts, Carolijn Brouwer, Clément Samon, Giulina Bayat and Charles Dorange, who delivered the boat from Germany via the Kiel Canal.
Emotions ran high for Team Holcim-PRB, which has given its all to earn the chance to get back into the race.
The start of the second leg will be given in less than 24 hours. The challenge has been met: the boat is ready, and so is the crew.
