Hamble-based rigging specialist, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics is proud to announce a new partnership with World Cruising Club - the world's leading organiser of sailing rallies, including the internationally renowned ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers).
As a Preferred Supplier to World Cruising Club, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics will provide expert advice and comprehensive rigging services to World Cruising Club members and its wider bluewater sailing community.
Part of the Ancasta Group, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics is led by veteran rigger and Managing Director, Neil Brinsdon, who comments: "Having been an advisor to ARC and other rally participants for many years, becoming World Cruising Club's Preferred Supplier for rigging is a unique endorsement of our expertise.
"Offshore sailing places far greater strain on a yacht's rig than coastal cruising, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with club members to ensure their voyages are both safe and enjoyable - wherever their adventures take them."
With over 35 years of experience in yacht rigging, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics specialises in the manufacture, installation, and repair of standing and running rigging, as well as the supply of furling boom systems.
The company is also an official agent for leading brands such as Reckmann, Hayn Marine, BSI, OYS, Sta-Lok, Gottifredi Maffioli, Mainfurl, Axxon and Future Fibres, as well as a supplier and service provider for hydraulic systems from Reckmann. Services include aluminium and carbon mast supply and repairs, rig dressing, mast stepping with on-site crane support, and worldwide rigging services.
Paul Tetlow, Managing Director of World Cruising Club, welcomes the partnership: "The collaboration with Advanced Rigging and Hydraulics underscores World Cruising Club's ongoing commitment to supporting our rally participants with world-class technical expertise and practical service, equipping them for their next offshore sailing adventure. With decades of experience, Advanced Rigging and Hydraulics offers specialist insight into how to specify, service, and maintain a yacht's rig for safety, reliability, and optimal performance, which should be key priorities for any sailor."
World Cruising Club organises a portfolio of annual ocean sailing rallies designed for the average cruising boat and crew, helping sailors realise their dreams of making long offshore passages and circumnavigations. These include the ARC, ARC+, ARC Europe and World ARC. Over 450 boats and 1,200 sailors from 40+ nationalities sail on a World Cruising Club rally each year.
In addition, World Cruising Club offers practical support for those planning an ocean voyage, with two-day training seminars in the UK and USA, as well as Q&A sessions at major boat shows, providing valuable advice on preparation, safety, and passage planning.
To celebrate this new collaboration, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics will host a launch event on Saturday 20 September at 16:00 on their stand (H010) during the Southampton International Boat Show. All World Cruising Club members and Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics customers are invited to attend.
