Every four years, RS Sailing brings its global community together for something truly special: the RS Games - a vibrant, multi-class regatta celebrating everything RS stands for. From world-class racing to community camaraderie, the RS Games embody the spirit, innovation, and inclusivity that defines RS Sailing.
The dinghy manufacturer - renowned for designing boats spanning from the Olympic-trial winning RS Aero to the fastest growing double-handed youth class in the world, the RS Feva, - has revealed the 2026 dates and location for the next RS Games.
For the first time ever, the RS Games will be held outside the UK: in Travemünde, Germany, from 16th-26th July 2026. Set against the spectacular backdrop of Travemünde Woche - one of Northern Europe's largest and most iconic sailing festivals - this promises to be RS Sailing's biggest and boldest event yet. (In 2022, the RS Games attracted 713 boats and 1037 competitors, making it the largest dinghy regatta of the year from a single manufacturer).
Travemünde Woche draws thousands of sailors and spectators for 10 days of regattas, festivities, and celebration. The RS Games will add its own flavour to the party: a full racing schedule across 12 classes, inclusive competition, and unforgettable shoreside entertainment.
The RS Games 2026 will welcome competitors from across the RS Sailing racing spectrum. Beloved heritage classes - affectionately known as the "00s" - including the RS100, RS200, RS400, RS500, RS700, RS800, and RS Vareo, will all stage their European Championships during the event. The RS Aero fleet will host both their European Championships and Youth World Championships.
Youth sailors could also opt for the
RS Tera and RS Feva World Championships; scheduled back-to-back, allowing ambitious sailors to race in both the single- and double-handed classes. Keelboat competition will be equally fierce, with the RS21 fleet contesting their Euro Cup, while the inclusive RS Venture Connect class will hold its European Championship, continuing to champion para sailing on the international stage.
Each class will enjoy four days of racing, plus access to a packed social calendar featuring RS-exclusive opening ceremonies, prize-givings, and two major RS Games parties.
Jon Partridge, Managing Director at RS Sailing, commented, "We are thrilled to announce the return of the RS Games in 2026! It's a true celebration of everything RS stands for - good vibes, awesome sailing, and a community that feels like family. RS has always been about more than just boats. We care about the people who sail them, we're proud of what we build, and we work hard to celebrate the classes. The RS Games bring all of that to life - it's our way of saying thank you, and we can't wait to share it with you!"
Travemünde offers world-class racing conditions, beachside launching, excellent camping, and seamless accessibility. Combined with the electric atmosphere of Travemünde Woche, it's the perfect stage for the biggest RS Games yet.
