The Centre Nautique Biscarosse Olympique hosted a well-organized and enjoyable evening after Day 1 of racing.
Sailors and guests gathered for a delightful meal, accompanied by aperitifs and canapés, all served lakeside with a scenic view. The atmosphere was relaxed, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to socialize after a full day of competitive sailing.
On Day 2, the racing conditions presented a new challenge, with the lightest winds of the event so far. Despite the challenging conditions, the young duo of Emilio and Elizabeth showed impressive skill and determination, taking the lead for much of the first race. In Race 2, Colin and Harvey Snook, also racing a Mark 1 ISO, delivered a commanding performance winning by a significant margin. The first two races highlighted the potential of the older boats to compete with the Mark 2 boats.
The Marcos had a consistent day, showing a return to form with regular podium places. As the day progressed, a sea breeze filled in after Race 2, and the fleet moved to a new area for the next three races. Five races in one day is a rarity for the ISO fleet, leaving many with tired legs and sun-kissed faces as they made their way ashore. With just one more day of racing to go, the competition is set to be close as the final positions are still up for grabs.
After another action-packed day on the water, the sailors came together for delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere, refuelling and preparing for the exciting final day of racing tomorrow.
