Junior members of Overy Staithe Sailing Club had three great days of racing for the Oram Trophy, which is an annual inter-club event sailed between the club and Brancaster Staithe Sailiing Club. Each club hosts a race, and the middle day is given over to a passage race from Brancaster through to Overy Staithe.

Day one saw Brancaster hosting, with light winds the order of the day. It was a glorious evening and was followed by a social hosted by Brancaster Staithe SC.

The passage race is particularly challenging and there was some doubt as to whether it would go ahead as it was going to be a windy sail but it was decided that it was good to go and those who took part had a wonderful race through the channel. It's not just about the sailing, and OSSC Mum's Sarah and Catherine were ready to welcome sailors ashore with hot dogs and hot drinks.

The fleet enjoyed another great race on Friday, with sailors and parents all rising to the challenge of a 7am start!

Huge thanks are due to the safety and race teams from both clubs, and to the parents who helped transport boats and waded in to help with launching and recovery.
