Day 3 of the 2025 Open, Mixed & Youth World Championships, with the heat intensifying both on and off the water.

Despite a delayed start due to weather conditions and the government's instructions to get protected by the increased temperature, the wait paid off as the race committee delivered two exciting and demanding races in 8-12 knots of breeze, pushing crews to double trapezing.

Tension was high on the starting line once again, leading to four boats being scored UFD (U-Flag Disqualification) in the first race. However, the drama didn't deter the fleet from showcasing top-tier performance.

The stars of the day were Mavros and Parianos, who dominated both races with commanding leads, maintaining their first place in the Open category with 11 points, ahead of Michaela Pavlisova and Marek Pavlis.

The Czech siblings, Michaela and Marek, continue to impress and are now leading both the Mixed and Youth categories. Hot on their heels, just two points behind, are family rivals Zdenek Pavlis and Klara Pavlisova - a father-daughter duo proving equally consistent and composed.

A pleasant surprise in the Open fleet comes from ITA46 - Mirco Mazzini and Andrea Ciavatta, who now sit in third overall, showing excellent form and consistency amidst tough competition.

With all scheduled races completed so far, sailors will enjoy a well-earned rest day tomorrow, soaking in the Greek summer at a local beach bar. The championship resumes on Thursday with more thrilling sailing action expected.

Stay tuned!
