Day 2 brought lighter winds to Lake Garda, but the energy around the event stayed sky-high.

While the breeze was a bit more relaxed than yesterday, the boat park was buzzing with activity, connection, and fun.

Lighter Conditions Test the Fleet

The fleets were sent out around 11:00, with racing scheduled to start at 12:00. But unlike Day 1, the famous Garda wind took its time to arrive—and when it did, it was light and shifty.

To keep things fair, the extra race for the fleets who did two is not being counted right now — it's just on hold. Once everyone has sailed the same number of races tomorrow, that extra race will be added back in to make the scores even.

Big thanks to the race committee for keeping everything balanced — and a reminder that in sailing, we roll with the wind (or wait for it)

Pasta Party = Instant Mood Boost

After a warm afternoon out on the water, the sailors came back in to find one thing waiting for them: pasta.

A big thanks to Fraglia Vela Riva for serving up a perfect meal that brought teams together after a long day in the sun. There's nothing like pasta on the terrace with your teammates and new international friends to reset and recharge.

Kidzink Workshop #2: Creativity in Action

The second Kidzink Eco-Hub Workshop kicked off in the evening, and once again, it was full of energy and fresh ideas. Sailors teamed up in new, mixed-nationality groups to explore sustainability, innovation, and teamwork—all through hands-on challenges.

It was fun, creative, and surprisingly competitive. And at the end of the night, a winning team was crowned.

Onward to Day 3

The forecast is looking better for tomorrow, and we'll be back on the water aiming to catch up and continue the qualifying series.

Until then, thank you to every sailor, parent, coach, and volunteer who is making this event such a standout. And an extra shoutout to Fraglia Vela Riva for hosting the world's 29er family in style.
