1, 2, 1, 2... RS200 sailors this is your mic check for the 2025 nationals social programme. Set your sails and your Spotify to "absolute bangers" - because the 2025 Noble Marine RS200 Nationals in Abersoch isn't just about racing.

This year's theme? Music Icons. From Bowie to Beyoncé, Freddie to Flo, it's your moment to channel your inner legend - on and off the water. And if you Wannabe the next national champion, there's a Careless Whisper that it's not just what happens on the water that makes a champion, so let's get down to business because This Is How We Do It.

Your all-access backstage pass includes:

Saturday - Tuning Up

  • The early (Three Little) Birds arrive to claim the best parking spots and Can't Stop themselves from some minute bimbles on the beach.

Sunday - Soundcheck Sunday

First up, Here Comes The Sunday plans.

  • Registration 1500-1800: Time to officially join the tour.

  • Coaching Afternoon: Even if there Ain't No Sunshine, it sure will be a Lovely Day on the water with our current champs starting at 1200, learning the top tips for a speedy week.

  • Captain's Reception & Welcome 1800: Your first taste of Abersoch's amazing hospitality, with a side of pizza available.

  • Gate Start Seminar 1900: The Bohemian Rhapsody of race starts - complex, dramatic, and slightly terrifying. Come learn how not to be that person that misses the end of the line...

  • Briefing 2000: Pay attention or you'll be Livin' On A Prayer out there.

Monday - Legends Launch

  • Registration (still, 0900-1030): For the fashionably late.

  • 1200 Start: Forget working 9-5, the start times are set at noon Monday-Thursday provided there's no Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay and the wind plays ball for us. Time to find out who's going like a Bat Out Of Hell!

  • Daily Prize-giving and Top Table Q&A 1830: bit of RESPECT for our top table, but come with your questions prepared to put these sailors Under Pressure for a Q&A.

  • Buddy Group Pub Crawl Treasure Hunt 1900: Before you head back to your Hotel California make sure you join us for the buddy group pub crawl treasure hunt. Think Scooby Doo meets Fleetwood Mac, with more lager.

  • Masters Meal 1930: Legends of the fleet dine in style at Cove Restaurant (or maybe they're actually just on the Tequila the whole time, nobody actually knows what happens here...)

Tuesday - The Feud Album

  • Daily prize-giving and Crews Q&A 1830: When your helm is saying to Give Me Everything and hike, don't fret as you can get your top tips with the crew q&a that night.

  • Beach Crew vs Helm Night 1900: for a Little Less Conversation and A Little More Action head to crew vs helm games night, who will all be saying Take On Me at the beach. Tensions rise. Friendships are tested. It's Fleet v Fleetwood.
(BYOB - and seriously, take your empties home. This isn't Glastonbury.)

Wednesday - The Big One

  • Curry Night 1830-2030: Walk This Way to the sailing club for the best curry in town, hopefully it will be the right Temperature

  • Fancy Dress Night with DJ 2000 onwards: Now we're talking. Channel your inner Prince, Madonna, Freddie Mercury (word on the street says the committee are already fighting over who's coming as ABBA and who has Pitbull)? If your Hips Don't Lie, make your way to the dance floor to be the next Dancing Queen. Will you be there until the end of the night to ask the dj to Pon The Replay?
Dress Like: Your chosen Music Icon, full send. Bonus points for costumes.

Thursday - Unplugged

Even if you've had a Bad Day on the water, Let It Be and Come Together for our penultimate night at the nationals.

  • AGM at the Vaynol 1900: Don't You Forget About Me! Like MTV Unplugged, but with more spreadsheets. Democracy meets beer garden. Everybody Wants To Rule The World so head on down to the AGM if you Want It That Way (BTW it's at a pub this year... we're all about the marginal gains round here)

Friday - Final Encore

  • 11am start: Don't Stop Believing! The final day of racing, and after last year we all know that this day can be the day to Live or Let Die. Earlier start to allow prep for prize-giving, so make sure you're not On The Highway To Hell by running late!

  • Championship Prize Giving 2030: Where Heroes are determined and all the Go Your Own Ways up the beats have paid off. Who's going to Reach For The Stars and be the Mysterious Girl (or guy) lifting the Trophy this year?

  • BBQ 1900-2030: In the Summertime, when the weather will hopefully be fine...

  • DJ Lionel 2115 onwards: Don't Look Back In Anger on the week as it's time to build A Bridge Over any Troubled Water with the fleet for the final evening of the week (Time) Of Our Lives! I say a little prayer for the bar staff that night... I Think it's Gonna be a Long Long Night, so who will be there for the final Angels encore?
Dress Like: BRIT awards dress code to Celebrate Good Times

Don't be a Part-Time Lover so make sure you turn up to all of the above - tickets on sale now via the shop page on the RS200 website (only available until July 27th so Don't Stop us (Me) Now and get them sorted, you don't want to miss out!).

So get ready, pack your bags and Hit The Road Jack (or walk 500miles) and join us for the Irreplaceable week of the Summer Of '69 (2025)!
