BENETEAU, the world's leading boat builder, has released details of the first two models in the renewal of the Gran Turismo range.

The new Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40 Coupé have been drawn and engineered to revolutionize the express cruiser segment by offering modern living spaces, an unrivaled driving experience, and a stunning design that will turn heads wherever in the world you choose to go.

Eric LeVine, BENETEAU Motor Yachts Sales Director: "This isn't just an overhaul — it's a revolution, pure and simple. To build these boats we used not only real-world data and industry-leading naval architects and designers; we drew from our 140-year history, and from the experiences of our owners and of the BENETEAU community. The remarkable result is like nothing you've seen or driven before: truly modern boats that belong to the future and effortlessly set the new standard for joyful express cruising."

Gran Turismo 35

The open-plan Gran Turismo 35 is the first boat in the range to offer a "villa living" experience: a set of different spaces and surfaces that can alternatively be used for relaxation, entertaining, and everything in between. Hinge-down balconies increase the aft-deck real estate and connection to the water, while deck-seating options fore and aft both fold down into wide sunpads to create a true sense of restful outdoor living.

No concession has been made, however, to the driving experience. The helm station ergonomics are nothing short of perfect, and the boat looks, runs and handles in accordance with its Gran Turismo spirit: a machine built to go far, quickly and comfortably, with unforgettable style and design.

The Gran Turismo 35 comes with two outboard engines as standard, Mercury Verado 300cv outboards, connected to two 370L fuel tanks delivering speeds in excess of 41 knots. An upgrade to twin Mercury Verado 350cv outboards is also offered, and a GTS version will be offered in 2026.

Gran Turismo 40 Coupé

The gorgeous Gran Turismo 40 Coupé offers customers the true luxury of choice, with either outboard or sterndrive engines, or an open-plan or enclosed cabin setup. The aft section of the boat is an entertainer's dream, with an L-shaped seating arrangement combined with an aft-facing wet bar complete and all the necessary appliances and accessories. The foredeck sunpad offers sunken flip-up seating and the 40 Coupé benefits from the same premium finishes and multimedia connectivity as all new Gran Turismo models, to say nothing of the signature light blade on the hull and lighting touches throughout.

Twin Mercury Verado 400cv are used for the outboard set-up with 1200 L petrol, while two Yanmar 8LV 320cv engines are used for the stern drive model with 805 L of diesel. With the Yanmars you'll enjoy speeds in excess of 32 knots, while the Verado's will push past 35 knots.

Robert Chaffer, BENETEAU Product Manager: "The Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40 Coupé deliver on everything we wanted for the new Gran Turismo range. Innovative layouts, oriented to the sea and wonderful days on the water with, massively increased exterior space for a better customer experience. An enhanced driving experience in terms of comfort, efficiency and handling ensures an optimum drive. Calm interior spaces with ambient lighting embrace the Japanese design ethos of simplicity or "Kanso". And the exterior low profile styling ensures gracefulness, or "Yugen", on the water. The result is the ultimate crossover express cruiser for a new generation."

Alpine Flair

BENETEAU's long term partnership with Alpine, the high-end sport specialty brand, means customers can benefit from unique style enhancements for the Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40 Coupé.

Bespoke colours include a Signal Grey hull finish and attractive Black flourishes across the engine covers, bathroom fixtures, light fittings, door handles, cleats, rails, screen mounts and pilot console (with a limited edition plaque). Cool Navy Blue flashes are used throughout the interior design, including on furniture, upholstery and embroidery. The result is a beautiful luxury express cruiser that sparks fascination on the water and in the marina.

World premiere

The Gran Turismo 35 and 40 coupé will be premiered to the public for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025. Exclusive customer sea trials will take place in Antibes, France, on August 29 and 30, 2025.
