The Royal Lymington Yacht Club's highly anticipated XOD Week 2025, sponsored by Steele Raymond, wrapped up on Wednesday 25th June after a week of challenging yet exhilarating racing on the Western Solent.

25 boats competed in this year's regatta, showcasing the enduring popularity of the classic X One Design class. Racing was expertly managed by Principal Race Officer Mike Cowan and his race team, who delivered a superb programme under difficult weather conditions.

Despite strong winds that forced the cancellation of Tuesday's schedule, a total of seven races were successfully completed. The team made the bold and welcome decision to run three races on the final day to ensure a full series—delivering exciting and competitive sailing right to the finish.

Martin Sellers and Rupert Harding, members of the host club, emerged as overall winners after a consistent and impressive performance across the fleet.

Notably, the first visiting boat (2nd Overall) was Astralita, sailed by John Tremlett, underscoring the strong inter-club spirit and camaraderie the XOD class is known for.

"This year's XOD Week was a fantastic showcase of skill, resilience and sportsmanship," said Captain of XODs, Jeremy Baker. "Our thanks go to Mike Cowan and his race team, to all competitors, and to our generous event sponsors, Steele Raymond LLP, for helping make the event such a success."

Jenny Rogerson, Managing Partner at Steele Raymond commented: "We were delighted to be involved in this year's XOD Week, congratulations to the winning crew aboard X8 Annex on a well-deserved and impressive victory and to all of the competitors who took part."
