America's Cup: Emirates Team NZ gearing up for its 12th America's Cup campaign

Emirates Team New Zealand, the current America's Cup champion is gearing up for the 2027 Defence of the most prestigious trophy in sailing.

The 39th America's Cup will be the team's 12th America's Cup campaign of which it has been the winner in the five America's Cups.

It has advertised a list of job opportunities opening as the team begins to ramp up its design efforts towards defending the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup for a fourth consecutive time in Naples, Italy in 2027.

Recently, the team were ranked #5 on the global Sports Technology Power List by the STA Group who champions the best sports technology globally.

The team says the positions are "newly opened full time roles span key disciplines in yacht design and performance optimization—offering a chance to help shape the next chapter of a legacy built on precision, speed, and relentless innovation."

The roles are:

  • Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Mechatronics Engineer

  • IT Technician

  • AI Engineer

  • Software Engineer

  • Control Systems Engineer

  • Meteorologist
