Australia's leading national trailer boat retailer and service provider, Whittley Marine Group, welcomes a new aluminium boat range into its five dealerships. The new Whittley Boat models, under the new AL series offer Australian-made, affordable turnkey BMT aluminium boat packages to the Whittley brand.

National Whittley Dealership General Manager Brock Cohen had this to say about the exciting expansion of the Whittley brand. "As the country's leading fibreglass trailer boat builder, with factory-owned dealerships across the country. The natural progression for the brand is to move to offer an aluminium series of boats and bring another generation and style of customer into our dealerships and boat brand. This decision is part of the Group's strategic plan to offer a comprehensive, full-circle trailer boat experience for consumers. Which encompasses sales, service, and boating accessories for all things trailer boating across the country. An aluminium model range offering is a part of this moving forward."

The Whittley AL series offers six aluminium boat, motor, and trailer packages under five and a half metres in size and are attractively priced. The AL Series is available Australia-wide across popular bow rider, side console, centre console and open boat configurations. All models are available exclusively through the Whittley Boating Centre's and the Whittley Finance and Insurance team offers competitive finance and insurance packages, to get approved customers on the water boating.

The Whittley AL series offered models that compliment and fit outside the current fibreglass range of FF, CR, and SL models, which are part of the Whittley Boat brand. Boat, motor, and trailer packages start at $16,990.00 from any Whittley Boating Centre and include local safety equipment and registrations to flagship models under $90,000 drive away.

Mr Cohen continued to say that. "Repeat business is a large part of the Whittley business model and success; offering an alloy boat alternative to the traditional Whittley fibreglass range under $85,000 enables newcomers to the brand and part of the Whittley Marine Group's philosophy to be the market leaders in trailer boat product across the sales, boating accessories, service and repower markets across the country."

"The Whittley Family has been associated with the Savage brand in the past and has seen the success of both an aluminium and fibreglass boat brand. Building on the Group's unique nationwide boatbuilding and dealership business model, the timing was right to offer an aluminium boat series with boat models smaller than those built in fibreglass. Our Boating Centre sites nationally want to offer an additional aluminium boat range to complement our existing fibreglass range; the two don't compete and bring a whole new group of consumers into our dealerships to experience the new Whittley boat buying process and how it differs from our competitors." Mr. Cohen said.

All new Whittley AL series models will be sold with high-quality Dunbier boat trailers and are powered by a Mercury or Honda four-stroke outboard and feature popular, market-leading electronic packages. The range features design input from the Whittley Family, with over seventy plus years of trailer boat knowledge, and is backed by a three-year warranty. The Whittley AL series offers exceptional value for money, featuring standard painted hulls, full-length carpeted floors, front and rear rails, and, in some models, a bimini and folding sock. Models in the Whittley AL series are produced in both plate and pressed alloy construction and are all built to Whittley Super Tough Construction methods.

The Whittley AL series consists of six models across five different boat configurations listed below;

Open Tiller Steer Models

Affordable open boating has become much more fun and appealing with the introduction of two new tiller steel models in the Whittley AL range. The Tiller Steer range is available in two unique hull variants: the standard TS, designed for estuary and lake fishing and maximum stability, and the wide body model, designed for bays and open waters. The two-model Tiller Series range consists of the;

  • Whittley AL 1150 TS
  • Whittley AL 1280 TS

Side Console & Centre Console Models

Side and Centre Console model boats are increasing in popularity. The 1480 Side Console features a flat-sided performance hull with a stable fishing platform, ideal for tournament or recreational estuary or lake anglers. Meanwhile, the AL 1740 configuration, made from high tensile plate alloy, is the ideal step into an offshore, tough fishing machine. The Side & Centre Console model range consists of two variant models;

  • Whittley AL 1480 SC
  • Whittley AL 1740 CC
  • Bow Rider Model

Australians love bow rider-style boats because the bow can be used for a variety of activities while out on the water, whether fishing, cruising or simply lounging around. The Whittley AL series features one bow rider model listed below;

  • Whittley AL 1700 BR
  • Run About Model

If you're into fishing but want the protection of a runabout-style boat with a windscreen, then the Whittley AL 1450 RA will tick all your boxes. Available in one size and model;

  • Whittley AL 1450 RA

All models in the Whittley AL range come standard with Whittley's performance sports-oriented SS hull design. The SS hull offers improved stability at rest and while under way increased fuel efficiency, and better performance overall than conventional standard alloy hull. It directly results from a deeper vee hull than traditional alloy hulls while promoting stability at rest.

Mr Cohen finished by saying, "The model range offering is extensive under the new AL series of boats, across popular open, bow rider, side, center console, and runabout layouts. If you are considering a high-quality Australian-made aluminum boat package under five meters, you should consider a Whittley. I encourage you to review the range at the dealership or the company's website. The new Whittley AL series extends the quality Whittley Boating experience to a new generation of owners and is available around the country via the Whittley Boating Centers. The new series will be on display at all leading Boat Shows this year around the country."

The Whittley Marine Group is a family-owned and operated business manufacturing an extensive range of trailerable fibreglass and aluminium boats. The Group is also the market leader for the sale and service of trailer boats nationwide, with five locations.
