Dufour 48 first photos in Palma

by Dufour Yachts 24 May 17:56 BST

The freedom of the outdoors: balance of performance and conviviality

The Dufour 48 truly embodies the new generation of Dufour yachts and goes further by offering an outdoor living experience and unprecedented comfort for a 48-footer.

Like its Dufour sailboats counterparts, the cockpit of the Dufour 48 is spacious and versatile, easily adapting to various activities throughout the day— whether sailing, relaxing, or enjoying a meal at anchor.

With three sunbathing areas, the cockpit creates a welcoming U-shaped space. The double adjustable cockpit table and offset helm stations ensure unobstructed twin access to the bathing platform.

Like the rest of the Dufour range, this model is available in easy, ocean or performance packs (with an extended boom and identical mast).

Sublimated outdoor spaces

The "Sky Lounge Deck":
Up front a new deck saloon. Equipped with a sunbathing area and storage, the SKY LOUNGE DECK is an essential feature for Dufour's larger models. The essential element for unforgettable moments of rest at anchor or under way.

The "Sky Cockpit":
The saloon lounge offers a stunning 360 degrees view of the ocean, a comfortable retreat for relaxation day or night. The aft cockpit has been designed to offer significant space. When under way, moving around on board is simple and natural. Two tables provide a splendid spot for enjoying meals. The tables can be converted into 2 comfortable sunbeds for relaxing at anchor.

The "Sea Stern Cook"

It's a real outdoor kitchen with all the essentials. A kitchen with a sea view equipped with a plancha grill, a fridge, and ample storage. This allows you to prepare aperitifs or barbecue snacks without needing to go below deck.

The "beach platform"

The beach platform gives you easy access to the water for your swimming, paddling or diving sessions. It can also be used as a sunbathing area. A double access to the cockpit has been created to facilitate access.

A hard top option

To complete the outdoor experience, the Dufour 48 offers a hard top option for greater cockpit protection. The hard top is equipped with two openings for viewing the sails.

The electric version also provides additional space for solar panels. Other advantage of this hard top: it's installed with davits option for a dinghy.

Spacious and bright interiors

Natural light is truly present on this Dufour 48. The panoramic roof windows, stretching along its entire length, continuously bathe the interior saloon and galley in natural brightness, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

For optimal comfort at any time of the day, these large glass surfaces can be shaded, allowing you to adjust the ambiance according to your preferences and needs.

Optimized interiors

The Dufour 48 sailboat is available with front galley or long galley. All furnishings are optimized to guarantee unparalleled living comfort. If you opt for the galley front or long, numerous storage compartments are provided.

Tables dedicated to the interior lounge have been created by interior designer Ardizio Design. They are optimized for the long kitchen version.

An exceptional owner's cabin

The SKY VIEW is a glazed section that transforms the cabin into an extraordinary stargazing station. In the cabins, blackout blinds are integrated into the ceiling. So, despite the brightness of the boat, you won't be disturbed by the very first rays of daybreak.

The upholstery can be removed to reveal large windows that let warm light into the front cabin.
