by Zhik 21 Mar 2025 07:35 GMT

Zhik, pioneering global water wear brand, kicks off a series of 2025 product launches with its latest innovations in protective gear for high-speed sailors, foilers and water sports athletes. The new Kollition X Impact PFD and Kollition Helmet combine cutting-edge design with superior protection, setting a new benchmark for performance and high protection on the water.

Johnny Rodgers, Zhik Head of Marketing/Partnerships & Global Sponsorships, emphasised the importance of these new designs, "As water sports get faster and more furious, comfort and safety are non-negotiable. The new Kollition X Impact PFD and Helmet deliver best-in-class protection without compromising on agility or breathability, ensuring sailors can perform at their peak with total confidence."

The Kollition X Impact PFD delivers the ultimate in high-speed sailing protection, crafted with zero compromise. Designed for performance athletes pushing their limits, this PFD offers exceptional impact protection, flexibility, and a low-profile fit.

Engineered with variable thickness foam and a flexible neoprene shell, the PFD molds to the body like a second skin. Integrated polypropylene (PP) plates provide advanced chest and spine impact resistance, while ergonomic panelling ensures unrestricted movement. The PFD's high-cut waist design ensures compatibility with kite, wing, windsurf, and trapeze harnesses. Side zip entry ensures a secure fit, and a quick-stash chest pocket adds convenient storage.

Uniquely combining these features with 50N buoyancy certification, the Kollition X Impact PFD stands out as the choice of champions, offering multi-discipline versatility with superior protection.

Key Features:

Variable thickness foam (20mm & 15mm) for tailored impact absorption, integrated PP plates for chest and spine protection, flexible neoprene shell with ergonomic panelling for a second-skin fit, ultra-low-profile design for maximum agility, high-cut waistline for harness compatibility, side zip entry for a secure, easy fit, quick-stash chest pocket with drainage holes, 50N buoyancy certification (ISO 12402-5).

Building on the success of Zhik's original H1 helmet, the new Kollition Helmet introduces advanced protection, breathability and comfort for high-speed sailors. The updated design features a lightweight impact-absorbing foam shell with a cushioned internal lining for improved comfort and safety.

Significantly larger ventilation ports improve airflow, ensuring cool comfort during high-intensity activities. The helmet's unique "wind feel" cut allows enhanced sensory awareness around the ears and neck, giving sailors an improved feel for changing conditions. With added coverage in key impact zones and a sleek, streamlined design, the Kollition Helmet is essential gear for today's high-performance sailors.

Key Features:

Lightweight, impact-absorbing foam shell cushioned internal lining for added comfort, adjustable padded chin strap for secure fit, large ventilation ports for improved breathability, extended coverage in key impact zones, "wind feel" cut for enhanced sensory awareness, high-visibility graphic design, compliant with World Sailing standards, quick rear adjuster for a personalised fit.
