Entry open for the 2025 Musto Skiff UK National Championship at Hayling Island Sailing Club

The Noble Marine UK Musto Skiff National Championship 2025 is confirmed for 18 to 21 September and will be hosted at Hayling Island Sailing Club (HISC).
The event registration is now officially open via the venue website, with entry closing on 12th September.
The four-day annual regatta attracts Musto Skiff sailors from all over the UK, as the class comes together to race it out for the National Champion title. Hayling Island Sailing Club is situated at the entrance to Chichester Harbour and offers some great competitive racing in a fantastic location. A total of twelve races are being planned over four days, and the racing area will include Chichester Harbour and Hayling Bay.
The current UK Champion is Sam Pascoe, who won the Title last June before going on to win the World Title the following month, which was hosted at WPNSA in Weymouth and Portland. This year will see many hot contenders for the UK Nationals Title, with a strong youth contingent and a good competitive level throughout the UK fleet.
Commenting on the upcoming regatta, GBR Class Chairman Bill Maughan said: "I attended the Musto Skiff UK Nationals at Hayling back in 2010. Sixteen years old and brand new to the class, it was some of the most memorable sailing I've had! Big sea breezes and great chop, a stunning sailing club, and a lot of friendly class members helping us newbies to get going. I'm certain this year's edition will be even better!"
The GBR Class Association is also pleased to confirm that Noble Marine Insurance will once again support the UK Nationals as the Event Title Sponsor. Noble Marine has been a long-running sponsor of the GBR class, and in addition to supporting the annual regatta, the sponsorship also includes investment for organised training sessions throughout the season.
Prizes for this year will once again be provided by long-term Title Class Sponsor, Musto, and will include a selection from their cutting-edge performance apparel and dinghy kit. Awards for the regatta will be dependent on entry numbers, but it is anticipated to include an Overall Winners category, as well as other categories to provide plenty of opportunities to win trophies and prizes.
Entry fees and how to enter
This year's UK National Championship at Hayling Island Sailing Club is open to current Musto Skiff class members, and entry can be made using the event entry form here.
The standard entry fee is £260 per boat and includes entry to all four event days, after sailing snacks, a class buffet dinner and a BBQ night, and free on-site parking within the club boundaries. A youth entry fee of £200 per boat is also available. See the NOR for eligibility.
Online entry will close at midnight on Friday, 12 September 2025, and class members are encouraged to get their entries in early to help the club coordinate their volunteers and catering.
