Set against the impressive backdrop of MDL Marina's flagship Ocean Village Marina, the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show 2025 is once again hosting a spectacular lineup of exciting new launches from leading global power and sail brands.

With a strong focus on innovation, luxury and sustainability, this year's show sees several world, UK and show debuts, cementing its place as one of the premier boat shows in the UK.

World debut - Hardy 45 European

Headlining the show on its world debut is the brand-new Hardy 45 European, introduced by renowned Cornish boatbuilder Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding.

The Hardy 45 European blends rugged ocean-going capability with modern comfort and inland versatility. Based on the iconic Hardy 42 semi-displacement hull by Andrew Wolstenholme, she offers exceptional performance at sea and smooth handling on rivers and canals.

Features include a luxurious saloon and galley, full-beam aft stateroom with king-size bed, forward guest cabin and a spacious aft deck helm with unrivalled visibility. Twin Yanmar 440hp engines provide up to 28 knots, with excellent fuel efficiency at cruising speed.

"Our all-new Hardy 45 European provides an extraordinarily luxurious and secure environment for ocean crossings and long-distance cruising," says Founder and Sales Director, Dave Cockwell. "But if you prefer the smoother waters of canals and rivers, then she is the perfect vessel for those kinds of voyages too.

"We're delighted to unveil her to the world at the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show - an event that celebrates innovation and craftsmanship."

UK debuts - BENTE28

Making its UK debut at the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show 2025, the BENTE28 is a bold and modern sailing yacht crafted by renowned designers Judel/Vrolijk. At 8.65 metres long with a near 3-metre beam, it offers surprising interior space, sumptuous comfort and smart functionality. Its standout IMOCA-style dodger not only adds striking aesthetics but also provides shelter while increasing headroom, light and ventilation below deck.

Designed with performance and comfort in mind, the sailing yacht features twin rudders for agile, responsive handling, even when it gets lumpy - ideal for both experienced sailors and those looking to get into yachting with style and ease. Both the roomy cockpit and cabin can accommodate up to six people. Whether day sailing, cruising or overnighting, it offers a spacious saloon, functional galley and versatile berths.

Hein Kuiper, Founder of Small Yacht Company, exhibiting the yacht at the show, comments: "The BENTE28 redefines compact cruising by blending cutting-edge design with practical comfort, offering an unparalleled sailing experience in its class."
