Bayliss Boatworks new construction updates

by Bayliss Boatworks 2 May 14:26 BST

Big news from Big Deal! Late last month, she successfully completed her first sea triala major milestone as she moves closer to delivery.

Inside, our interior carpentry team has been hard at work in the galley, where the upper and lower cabinetry items have been installed along with the center island, bringing this space to life. In the lower accommodations, pullman bunk installations are under way, and the stateroom and shower doors are now fully installed. Meanwhile, in the dayhead, installation of the vanity mirror is in progress, adding the finishing touches to this well-designed space.

Progress continues across Tarheel's bridge and mezzanine as the exterior carpentry team stays busy on multiple fronts. In the cockpit mezzanine, the refrigerated liners are now installed within both the upper and lower mezzanine boxes, while the mezzanine lids are currently being fittedbringing us one step closer to a completed seating and storage area. Up on the bridge, glassing is under way.

Up next: the bridge will be sanded and Awlfair applied, creating a smooth surface ready for first finish primer.

Our team is steadily advancing the build of Mama Seata, bringing structure and detail into focus.

With the carlins and interior walls now in place, the foundation for the bow deck has been established and the interior layout is beginning to take shape. Below deck, our mechanical team has completed the installation of her pump room gyro, an important system that will enhance onboard stability and performance.

In the coming weeks, we look forward to installing her cabin to the hull, continuing the momentum of this exciting build.

Crisdel recently hit a major milestone! Following the glassing, Awlfair application, and sanding of her hull, our hull carpentry and mechanical teams joined forces for the hull rollover.

Now upright and back in the hull shop, work has moved quickly: stringer caps have been installed, the hull interior is being glassed, and hullside insulation is being applied.

Up next: the installation of interior bulkheads.
