A80new: Arcadia Yachts launches a new concept of freedom at sea, one that respects nature

by Arcadia Yachts 16 Apr 07:43 BST

The holistic wellbeing first proposed by Arcadia Yachts with the A96new, inviting contemplation, conviviality, the pleasure of discovery and an active but never hectic lifestyle, continues with this model and its full complement of unique features.

A80new is the latest project developed by the Shipyard based on the Sorrento coast, designed primarily to navigate and anchor anywhere thanks to the yacht's compliance with the latest regulations on protecting meadows of Posidonia Oceanica, the lung through which the sea breathes, because the boat's length overall is just under 24 metres. On one hand this confirms the Shipyard's commitment to respecting the natural environment and, on the other, it allows A80new owners to continue to explore uncharted coves, discovering new areas and hidden spots while also taking advantage of water toys or sports equipment.

In keeping with Arcadia's DNA, A80new is equipped with state-of-the-art solar panels, representing another step forward in the shipyard's research and ensuring a 98% increase in efficiency per square meter compared to the brand's early years. Most importantly, the yacht offers excellent cruising performance and fuel consumption, which is below market average by values ranging from 12% (at 12 knots) to 27% (at 15 knots), at the slow yachting speeds that best reflect the cruising concept embraced by the Shipyard from the outset.

Just under 24 metres in length (23.98 m) and 6.95 m in the beam, A80new is Arcadia Yachts's first RPH (Raised Pilot House) yacht but retains all the features that have written the history of this brand, not least the styling, which features a majestic wide body bow where the master quarters are located. Moving aft, the natural environment reaches through generous glazing into the Main Deck and as far as the majestically sized aft deck, with its unforgettable al fresco area. The perfectly seamless beach area makes it easy to enter the water, with a built-in up&down platform that can be extended by opening the side wings.

As well as the appealing and impressive styling, A80new offers guests the largest Upper Deck in the category, with a surface of 80 square metres, featuring an outdoor stern area that can be personalised with loose furniture, a small salon that can be converted according to the time of day and is sheltered by the hard top, located behind the second exterior helm station, and the bow area, which can be transformed for use as either a table or sunpad.

Like all Arcadia yachts, the Main Deck concept offers a seamless open space that encourages socialisation between interior and exterior areas and offers total connection with the natural environment, heightened by the huge opening windows featured on all the models designed so far by the Shipyard, both at the stern and on the port side, so that guests can enjoy the sea breeze and natural light throughout the day.

The artificial lighting is based on dimmable LED lights that create a more natural atmosphere, as well as consuming less energy and making it possible to create different moods according to the situation and the time of day, particularly in the sleeping area. The latter is made up of five large guest cabins, with the master suite located on the Main Deck in a rare and highly desirable feature for this segment.

With these strengths, A80new is a unique yacht for the segment, but what takes the proposition to the next level of service and privacy for owner and guests is the decision to locate the crew quarters in the bow area of the Lower Deck, entered directly from the fully appointed galley developed in partnership with Valcucine. The four crew members are provided with a generous day area and two double cabins with en-suite bathroom and shower. A multi-function garage for tenders and sports equipment is also available to owners and guests, a feature that can't be taken for granted on yachts this size.

The interiors will be decorated with muted, natural colours, aiming to create a calm and relaxing mood. The materials have been selected to convey as much warmth, hospitality and solidity as possible.

The yacht is powered by a Volvo IPS propulsion system, Arcadia's consolidated choice since 2015, which brings a series of important benefits, including more volume in the guest area below deck and improved on-board comfort thanks to reduced vibrations, resulting from the elimination of the shaft line, and less noise as the engine exhaust is submerged and inside the pods. A stabilization system with CMC Marine electric fins will be installed as standard equipment for even more comfort when cruising and at anchor.

A80new, designed for curious, cosmopolitan owners who want to cruise immersed in nature, anywhere and at any time of year, will be presented at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival.
