Last summer the crew of S/V Theros were found dead in a dinghy on Sable Island NS. The report has been published by Noonsite.com .
Though the wreck has never been found, the Report by the Transportation Board of Canada concludes that fire forced the 2 crew to abandon Theros using their dinghy (stored at the stern) rather than the Liferaft (secured on deck).
The cause of the fire is unknown but the report does mention that Theros was fitted with a re-purposed automotive EV battery which was part of its propulsion system.
