Registration open for the 2025 Yachting Cup - San Diego's Premier Spring Regatta

San Diego Yacht Club (SDYC) is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the highly anticipated 2025 Yachting Cup, San Diego's premier spring regatta. Celebrating its 53rd year, the event will take place from May 2 to May 4, 2025 and offers an unforgettable experience for sailors across a variety of fleets.

  • Courses: San Diego Bay City Front and Coronado Roads
  • Invited Classes: One Designs, PHRF, ORR, Classics
  • Early Entry Fee Deadline: April 15, 2025

The Yachting Cup is a Southern California staple regatta, offering the perfect mix of intense competition on the water, and camaraderie on shore. We are excited to have multiple one-design, PHRF, ORR and Classics classes.

2025 classes included: Beneateau 36.7s, Classics, J/105s, J/111s, J/22s, J/24s, ORR EZ1-2 and PHRF.

The traditional Friday fun race, the Ton Cup, will be held in La Playa basin on the Club's J/22s. The event is free for all event entrants.

Aside from top tier on-the-water events, the Yachting Cup will also host social events including a Welcome Party on Friday night, the Yachting Cup Party on Saturday night, and an Awards Ceremony on Sunday after racing. Attendees can look forward to a DJ Friday and a live band, John Fretwell's Gin n' Jukes, Saturday, and exceptional food and beverages all three days!
