EurILCA, and Hayling Island Sailing Club (HISC) are thrilled to announce that Suzuki will be the title sponsor for the 2025 SUZUKI ILCA Masters European Championships, taking place at Hayling Island Sailing Club from 14th to 20th June 2025.

Suzuki joins an outstanding line-up of sponsors, including Ovington Boats, Rooster Sailing, Sailingfast, Hardline Brewery, Tideway Wealth, Chichester Harbour Conservancy and Southeast Sailboats, to help deliver a world-class event that the UK sailing community can be proud of. This will be the biggest international dinghy racing event to be held in the UK for over a decade.

The Importance of sponsorship

The 2025 SUZUKI ILCA Masters European Championships is expected to attract between 210 and 250 competitors from around the world. Hosting an event of this scale presents significant logistical and financial challenges, particularly for volunteer-led sailing clubs. The costs of providing essential services, such as post-race food and drinks, can be prohibitive, making sponsorship crucial in maintaining accessibility and affordability for competitors.

Thanks to Suzuki and our incredible sponsors, we are able to ensure that this championship delivers an exceptional experience, both on and off the water, including complimentary food and drinks for competitors, fantastic prizes, and unforgettable social events. Their support is instrumental in making this a premier international sailing competition.

Hayling Island Sailing Club - A world-class venue

Hayling Island Sailing Club is widely recognised as one of the best dinghy racing venues in the world. With a dedicated team of professionals and passionate members, the club offers an unparalleled racing experience and a warm welcome to sailors from across the globe. The commitment of HISC's membership and staff ensures that this event will be run at the highest level.

Meet our sponsors

Suzuki - Title Sponsor

Suzuki's significant financial backing is pivotal to the success of the event. With over 20 RIBs needed for an event of this magnitude, their support is invaluable. All RIBs used throughout the competition will be powered by Suzuki's renowned outboard motors - a crucial element in ensuring that the races operate smoothly and safely.

Beyond sailing, Suzuki is championing sustainability initiatives through its Clean Ocean Project, which includes a Clean-Up the World campaign that has carried out global beach cleans since 2010, involving more than 17,000 participants. This year, Suzuki will be adding to its schedule, with a beach clean at Hayling Island in collaboration with Chichester Harbour Conservancy to celebrate the Championships.

As part of the Clean-Up the World campaign, Suzuki is also committed to reducing plastic packaging, with over 52 tons reduced in the past five years, as well as collecting marine microplastics with industry-first filtering outboards, and enhancing fuel efficiency to contribute to more sustainable boating through its use of Lean Burn technology.

Ovington Boats - ILCAuk Class Sponsor

As the only UK-based ILCA builder, Ovington Boats has been eagerly anticipating this event. Known for their high-quality craftsmanship and excellent after-sales service, they will be on-site throughout the championship, offering repair and replacement support to competitors. Their financial contributions are also playing a crucial role in enhancing the event experience.

Rooster Sailing - Official Event Apparel Partner and ILCAuk Class Sponsor

What's a major international regatta without an iconic event shirt? Rooster Sailing, renowned for their premium sailing gear, will provide high-quality event t-shirts free of charge to all competitors and volunteers—ensuring a lasting memento from this prestigious championship.

Having worked with the Laser / ILCA class since 2002 they bring many years of experience in supply and boat maintenance. Sailingfast is the UK supplier of both Ovington Boats and Element 6 ILCA's Sailingfast is the key supplier of charter boats for the event, and competitors may also have the opportunity to purchase new boats. Sailingfast will be onsite throughout the event with spares to keep the fleet on the water. Pre order your new boat, charter boat or spares now here.

Hardline Brewery

When the racing is done, it's time to relax, and what better way to do this than with a cool beer? The owner of Hardline Brewery, a keen sailor, says: "Introducing Hardline Brewery's LIFESTYLE BEER: a vegan-friendly, gluten-reduced, low-calorie beer, free of chemicals. Crafted to support athletes and health-conscious individuals, our beer combines craft beer flavours with exceptional health benefits for a refreshing post-race reward." Andrew, an ILCA sailor, was very keen to support the event as "the Masters represents those health-conscious, discerning customers who best appreciate our beers and wines."

Tideway Wealth - ILCAuk Class Sponsor

With an ethos of an active lifestyle and enjoying retirement, Tideway is honoured to sponsor the 2025 SUZUKI ILCA Masters European Championships.

Tideway offers tailored wealth management and financial planning to individuals seeking to invest their savings wisely and grow their wealth.

Looking ahead

With a strong team of sponsors, a premier sailing venue, and an anticipated fleet of over 220 ILCA sailors, the 2025 SUZUKI ILCA Masters European Championships is set to be an unmissable event.
