The Liga de Vela de Bolívar proudly presents Cartagena Sailing Week 2025, a premier Laser/ILCA and Sunfish racing and training event set against the stunning backdrop of Cartagena's coastline.

Taking place April 11th-20th, this highly anticipated regatta is drawing top-tier sailors from across the Americas for an elite-level clinic and competitive racing.

This year's event boasts an impressive lineup, including internationally acclaimed Race Officer Ian Mc Clelland and two distinguished international juries from Perú and Uruguay. With competitors already confirmed from Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Ecuador, and Peru, Cartagena Sailing Week promises thrilling competition and top-tier sailing action.

The event schedule includes:

  • A three-day high-performance clinic led by expert coaches, refining tactical and technical skills.
  • A rest day, giving sailors a chance to explore Cartagena's rich maritime culture and historic charm.
  • Three days of intense racing, putting speed, skill, and strategy to the test on Cartagena Bay's world-class waters.

Participants—including sailors, coaches, and officials—will be accommodated at Colombia's Naval Academy, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved. Meanwhile, Club de Pesca Marina will serve as a central hub for pre- and post-race activities, offering first-class hospitality and social events throughout the week.

With ideal sailing conditions, top-tier organization, and a growing international presence, Cartagena Sailing Week is quickly becoming a must-attend event on the regional sailing calendar.
