The Yachting Journalists' Association (YJA) is proud to announce its 70th anniversary in 2025, celebrating seven decades of championing excellence in marine journalism. To mark this milestone, the YJA will unveil a fresh new logo and branding, alongside a calendar of exclusive events and networking opportunities throughout the year.

Since its founding in 1955, the YJA has brought together specialist journalists, photographers, TV and radio presenters, web editors and content creators from across the global boating and sailing community. Through their work, YJA members continue to inform, educate, and inspire audiences about all aspects of leisure boating.

Katy Stickland, YJA Chair commented "This anniversary is not just a celebration of the past 70 years but a stepping stone to the future, Our new branding reflects our continued evolution, global reach, and commitment to supporting marine journalism and the wider industry. The YJA's strength is its diversity of members and the decades of experience."

The YJA's refreshed branding includes a modernised, community inspired logo that encapsulates the association's collaboration mission and maritime heritage.

Key highlights of the YJA's 70th-anniversary celebrations include:

  • Exclusive Networking Events - Bringing together industry leaders, journalists, and marine professionals.
  • Special Features & Interviews - Showcasing the legacy and future of yachting journalism.
  • YJA Awards 2025 - Continuing to honour excellence in yachting journalism and sailing achievements.

With the marine industry rapidly evolving, the YJA remains committed to promoting greater awareness of leisure boating through the expertise of its members. This anniversary is a testament to the association's longstanding impact and future ambitions.
