Learn from the experts: The Finn class is putting on two free webinars with 2020 Olympian Nicholas Heiner from The Netherlands.

  • 3 February - Webinar 1 - Trim of the Finn
  • 10 March - Webinar 2 - Strategy

The moderator will be Roy Heiner. Each webinar will last for 1 hour plus 30 minutes for questions and begin at 20.00 CET

Webinar 1 will focus on trim and boat set up: how to set up the Finn in different conditions to make it easier, faster and more fun to sail the boat; expert knowledge to get a better performance from the boat; rudder pressure mast/centreboard position; leech tension and mast bend; control lines; how to trim for gusts vs steady conditions and wavy or flat water; choosing the sail / mast package; and downwind trim.

Webinar 2 will focus on Strategy: how to make a race plan to choose the fastest way around the course based on: geographical features; clouds; currents; sea breezes; big fleet starting; routines during the race.

The webinars are free to members with a small charge to non-members
