The children's sailing regatta Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja goes a step further in its excellence by reaching an agreement for this edition, and the next two, with the online positioning company TracTrac.

It will be the first Optimist regatta at national level that will have this system of live monitoring of the different tests that are planned in the program of the Torrevieja event.

With just over two weeks left for the official start of the regatta, from January 30th to February 2nd, the regatta organized by the Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja, sponsored by Euromarina, officially has 430 sailors representing 29 countries, some of them curious as the representative of Central Asia: Tajikistan.

The Torrevieja event will include other Asian countries, such as Singapore, Hong Kong and China. Along with them will be Poland, Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Slovakia, France and the United States, in addition to Spain.

In the social section, the 'Welcome Party' stands out in its program on Thursday. After the regatta the Club, with the help of Euromarina, offers a parade and presentation of all the international teams, together with the representatives of the Autonomous Communities of Spain, in a big party.

On Sunday, during the trophy ceremony, it is expected the participation of the whole family of sailing, with the presence during the closing day of the Regional Minister of Tourism, the Mayor of Torrevieja, and authorities that make possible the celebration of this international event with the grassroots sport as the main objective.
