Tenzor International Cup - J/70 Open Winter Series 2024-2025 - Stage 2 Preview

by Burak Zengin 15 Jan 13:09 GMT 16-19 January 2025

The second Leg of Tenzor International Cup - J/70 Open Winter Series 2024-2025 will be started at Tenzor Sailing Club Türkiye on Thursday, 16th of January, with a 4 day racing programme.

"The upcoming regatta of Leg 2 as well as the whole Tenzor International Cup Winter Series present a fantastic opportunity for sailors to push their skills and explore their limits in one of the best Turkish marina in Bodrum. This annual Winter Series attracts more and more participants from the global sailing community. We are eager to enjoy the great sailing battles from the start to the finish and wish all participants to get the unforgettable emotions" said Burak Zengin, CEO of Tenzor Sailing Club Türkiye.

Among the registered teams there is Igor Rytov's crew. The winner of first leg will be competing again with the ambition of claiming the top spot. "Bogatyrs" team missed the victory in the Series last year, finishing in second place, so this year they do their best for revenge. Their main opponents - Tenzor Team skippered by Andrey Pushkin does not intend to give up and will defend their current Champion's title.

To claim for a podium is the goal for several more teams, including Dolce Vita, Gaswar, Atoll Sailing Team, Orient Express.

In Corinthian division four teams with Orient Express, O1 Properties, Ayaz and Aspat will try to make the best performance and celebrate the podium on the finish line.

Over three days, competitors will race in waters of Aspat Bay, taking advantage of ideal conditions and comfortable sailing facilities of Anthaven Resort.

There are nine races slated for second stage of Tenzor International Cup Winter Series, with approximately three races taking place each day.

Prize categories include the top three boats in the overall results and top three teams of Corinthian Division.
