Sail Canada announced today that its 2025 Sail East Regional Championships will be held July 17-20 at the St. Margaret Sailing Club in Nova Scotia.

The event will feature two training days ahead of the competition scheduled for Saturday, July 19th, and Sunday, July 20th.

Sail Canada's three regional championships provide an opportunity for sailors to train and compete with high-level sailors in their region in the U15 category (Optimist class ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, Club 420, 29er and WASZP classes). In addition, this event serves as talent identification opportunities for regional and provincial sailing teams, along with training, development and mentoring opportunities for coaches, officials and volunteers.

Sail Canada Sail East Championships is aimed for sailors from the Atlantic provinces and Newfoundland and Labrador, yet athletes from other provinces are welcome. Last year, over 200 sailors took part in the event held still at the St. Margaret Sailing Club.

The notice of races as well as registration link for Sail Canada 2025 Sail East Championships will be available in the upcoming months, while dates for other national and regional championships will be communicated later.

Sail Canada 2025 Sail East Championships will be part of a total of seven Sail Canada Regional and National Annual Championships in 2025. The calendar will also include Sail Canada Sail East and Sail West Regional Championships, as well as the Youth, Senior Kiteboarding, Senior ILCA 6 and ILCA 7, as well as Senior 49er and 49erFX Championships.

Helly Hansen is the proud prize sponsor for the 2025 Sail Canada Championships.

Sail Canada Championships are funded - in part- by the Government of Canada.
