iQFOiL Asian Championships and iQFOiL International Games in Shenzhen, China - Day 4

by iQFOiL Class Communications 23 Nov 2024 14:35 GMT 19-25 November 2025

Day 4 of the iQFOiL Asian Championships and iQFOiL International Games delivered another unforgettable day of racing, as competitors showcased incredible skills and determination in light and tricky wind conditions.

Despite the challenges, athletes pushed the boundaries of what's possible in foiling windsurfing, with races for all categories highlighting their adaptability.

The day started with just enough breeze to kick off the action, but wind shifts and lulls throughout the course tested even the most experienced racers. In the morning, the Youth and Junior fleets took on Slalom courses, with three races completed for the U19s and two for the U17s. The Seniors followed in the afternoon, managing to finish one race in the light breeze.

The winds remained below 10 knots for much of the day, demanding strategic thinking and physical endurance from the sailors. Pumping to the maximum and making precise tactical decisions, the competitors delivered an inspiring performance that demonstrated the exceptional talent on display at this year's championships.
