With two inter club events completed and the state titles looming Brett Hobson and Pete Nicholson have shown they are the team to beat.

Sailing Geotherm they won both the Upper Harbour at Lane Cove and the Parramatta River Championship at Abbotsford sailed in a good big sail and second sail breeze respectively.

Red Energy (Murray Press / Mark Muirhead) and Sydney Sailmakers (JoshTasker / Brendan Jenkins) filled second and third in both races to keep the top of the table tight.

Geotherm, in both races started well picking the shifts on the river and establishing strong early leads. The racing behind them was close with position changes throughout the races. Stay Connected Electrical and LCC Asia Pacific pushing hard and trading places throughout.

The NSW State Titles will be hosted over two weekends at Lane Cove 12 Foot Skiff Club (23/24th Nov) and the Sydney Flying Squadron (30/1st Dec). It is expected that Sail Inc (Nick Press and Andrew Hay) and Terms & Conditions (Brad Phillips and Oscar Wilson) will step up and put the pressure on the current leading skiffs after difficult season starts from both boats.
