Cruisers Yachts goes Pink with a purpose

by Cruisers Yachts 24 Oct 2024 16:29 BST

On October 10, Cruisers Yachts proudly joined MarineMax and the American Cancer Society in their annual Power of Pink Day, a nationwide initiative dedicated to raising awareness to raising awareness about breast cancer and promoting the importance of regular screenings.

President of Cruisers Yachts, Mark Pedersen, comments, "As a community, we are committed to raising awareness about breast cancer and the lifesaving power of early detection. Wearing pink is a symbol of solidarity, but it's also a reminder of the critical need for regular screenings. This is especially important for boaters, who often spend long hours in the sun, which can increase the risk of certain cancers. Early detection saves lives, and we want to encourage everyone, particularly those with high exposure to the sun, to prioritize their health by scheduling regular screenings."

Cruisers Yachts joined MarineMax and the American Cancer Society in supporting their case to find a cure by wearing their best pink attire nationwide. Team Members went #PinkWithAPurpose to increase awareness, focus on cancer screenings, and encourage those who haven't been screened yet to do so. Research proves that early detection saves lives—and Cruisers Yachts is committed to their team members and customers' health and wellness.

Team members at Cruisers Yachts participated in the #PinkWithAPurpose campaign, wearing vibrant pink outfits to spark conversations about breast cancer awareness, highlight the importance of screenings, and encourage those who have yet to be screened to take action. Research shows that early detection significantly increases survival rates, and Cruisers Yachts remains steadfast in its commitment to the health and well-being of its team members and customers.

According to the Breast Cancer Fact & Figures 2024-2025 report from the American Cancer Society, it is estimated that 310,720 people will be diagnosed with new cases of breast cancer in 2024, and 2,790 of those will occur in men. However, with early detection, lives can be saved.

Cruisers Yachts remains dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of its community. Through initiatives like Power of Pink Day, the company raises awareness and encourages action, reminding everyone of the importance of early detection and regular screenings. Together, we can make a difference.
