Burak Zengin, CEO of Tenzor Sailing Club Türkiye, highlighted the importance of the upcoming TIC Winter Series for its sporting value and for expected number of participants,

"I am happy to announce that we are ready to welcome more teams this winter for Tenzor International Cup Series 2024-2025. We are proud to offer the sailors from all over the world our hospitality and I am sure they will enjoy the competition, the facilities and services of TSC Türkiye".

More teams - more power in racing

For the Act 1, held from 12 to 15 December, a lot of teams will be lining up to take the start fighting from the beginning of the Series. Let's start teams presentation.

Who is participating?

HUBEX team skippered by Kirill Frolov was 5th last season and is aiming for podium in the TIC Series 2024-2025. Mikhail and Maksim Sheremetyev, Pavel Sysoev will be in team staff.

Mikhail Sheremetyev: The TIC Winter Series in Bodrum is very interesting in many aspects. Firstly, this is a location where there are several options for the racing distance: you can get out where the wave is bigger, or make the distance closer to the shore, where the gusty wind comes in. In this regard, Turkish races are interesting and quite comfortable and warm in climate for the winter period. Another advantage of the location is that the stable wind all the time. Last season, it did not happen that any day fell out completely because of the calm. The wind is mostly strong in Bodrum. For the facilities, there are quite good hotels in this location, all sailors live in one place. It is only two minutes on foot from the hotel to the boats parking, so everything is very convenient and comfortable. There is no need to remove the mast between the stages. Many Russian crews take part in the series, each of which can claim the first place, and there are several good rivals from Turkey. This year, I suppose, will come more crews, also of a good level, so I think the TOP-12 will be very decent. The battle for the podium will be serious. The winter series is a great help to keep fit, and last year showed that we entered the summer already well prepared, and the season turned out to be full, without long breaks."

Newcomers for 2024-2025 winter season - team O1 Properties skippered by skilled sailor Eduard Skornyakov. Crew staff will be added by Petr Bukin, Aleksei Tarasov, Anna Sheina.

Eduard Skornyakov: "I had a sailing experienve in different Turkish locations, participated in regattas in Bodrum, Gocek, Turgutreis. There is a fairly stable wind, interesting conditions and an excellent fleet of J/70. There is always good competition's level in the Tenzor International Cup series. This will be the debut season for our team in marine conditions and at this high level event. We race mostly on flat water with long gusts, but in Turkey the conditions are completely different, so the speed, sail settings, etc. come to the fore. The material part is an very important component of racing. We will use our sails and try to be on a same level with our rivals. We already have a well-coordinated crew, so we decided to participate in all stages of the TIC winter series in Bodrum, as well as in the Turkish championship in Ayvalyk. This will be a test regatta, which will allow us to study our rivals, make adjustments and be ready for the start of the Tenzor Cup series. Our task is to gain experience, and at each stage we strive to improve the result."

Teams training - J/70 Turkish Championship

Many of the teams have already begun training in different Türkish marinas to be well prepared for TIC Winter Series.
