Congratulations to Sam Nedeau and his Green team for becoming the 2024 Quantum Sails Melges 24 Great Lakes Cup Champions! Consistently placing in the top four at Muskegon, Sarnia, and Traverse City, Sam clinched his first-ever regional overall championship title and trophy in the U.S. Melges 24 Class. Well done!

Homestretch — 2024 North American Sailing Series is fever pitch for final event

After the Canadian Nationals, top Corinthian Dan Berezin racing Surprise regained the lead, overtaking Geoff Fargo's Sentinel by two points. Kingspoke, helmed by Bora Gulari, is currently one point behind in third. Dark Horse, helmed by Cuyler Morris, and Steve Boho's The 300 round out the top five in fourth and fifth respectively, separated by only two points. Read more...

The 2024 Melges 24 Canadian National Championship concluded after three great days of racing, from Friday, September 20th to Sunday, September 22nd, hosted by the West Vancouver Yacht Club. M24s of Summer Regatta — Racing Revival at Davis Island YC, Sept. 21-22

Race Report by Jaime Torres / Smile and Wave - With nine Melges 24s on the membership roster at Davis Island Yacht Club, one-design keelboat racing is on the upswing in Tampa Bay. Fleet Captain John Paulson welcomed 11 teams for the first annual 24s of Summer Regatta, marking the beginning of many U.S. Melges 24 Class events planned at the club for 2024 and beyond.

Long-time class measurer Gary Schwarting from Naples, skippering Obsession with family and friends as crew, won 1st place by a single point over early regatta leader David Macleod from Lake Lanier on Hook'Em, who won the tie-breaker on countback over Brian Wynne's Trim Reaper from New Orleans, LA.
