Get ready for an international competition filled with youthful camaraderie, late-season sunshine, and the stunning backdrop of Cagliari, Sardinia!

Set against the rich culture and scenic beauty of this incredible city, the RS Aero Youth Team Racing European Championship promises to be an unforgettable event.

Building on the success of the previous two RS Aero European Youth Team Racing events in Cagliari, the Italian Sailing Federation, the Italian RS Aero Class, and the Sardinian RS Aero fleet are once again organizing this exciting competition with the support of the regional government.

Cagliari waterfront "Su Siccu-Molo Ichnusa" offers an ideal venue for team racing—sheltered, with great viewing opportunities for spectators. The weather in late October is typically mild, and Cagliari International Airport is just a few miles from the venue, making travel easy and convenient.

Racing will take place in RS Aero 5, ensuring inclusivity. Team racing here focuses on precision sailing skills and tactical maneuvers, rather than pure speed.

Team composition and format:

  • Teams: Each team consists of two sailors, one male and one female.
  • Age Limit: Sailors must be under 25 years old as of 31st December 2024.
  • Race Format: Two teams race against each other with two boats per team, for a total of four boats in each race.
  • Boats Provided: RS Aeros will be supplied, so you only need to fly in and race!
    • Teams must race the boats as provided, with the only additions allowed being a drinks bottle and a timer.

Event schedule:

  • Thursday, 24th October: Preparation and practice day.
  • Friday 25th - Sunday 27th October: Official races.

Online entry is available via the Class event page

Accommodation:
Accommodation (including breakfast, dinner, and the use of an RS Aero 5) will be provided free of charge by the Organizing Authority for 2 athletes and 1 coach from the 24th to the 28th of October (4 nights).

Additional Information:

Single Sailors: If you're interested in competing but don't have a team mate, reach out to us (), and we'll try to match you with another sailor for a combined nation entry.

Multiple Teams per Nation: To encourage diversity, priority will be given to nations entering one team. The organizers reserve the right to accept entries from new countries before accepting additional teams from the same nation.
