Sunstream® takes hydraulic boat lifts to new heights with SunLift X

by Sunstream Boat Lifts 5 Sep 2024 00:29 BST

Sunstream® Boat Lifts, the leading manufacturer of premium boat lifts and the SwiftShield™ Automatic Boat Cover System, announced today it has completely redesigned its hydraulic pumps for greater reliability and durability for its existing freestanding hydraulic boat lift product line, newly minted as the SunLift X.

"We set out to design the highest performing, most reliable hydraulic pump not only in the boat lift industry, but in the marine industry," said Ken Hey, CEO, Sunstream. "If you are going to make the best pizza, you need to start with the best ingredients. The SunLift X lift line features a brand-new hydraulic pump that uses the best quality Bosch valves, solenoids and components made in Germany and Italy, and assembled in the U.S. at Sunstream's facility in Kent, WA. Sunstream also is introducing a new Quick Disconnect coupling, with ultra-high reliability, maximum flow, and with knurled grooves and wrench flats that make them easy to connect. The new coupling is ultra corrosion resistant with zinc nickel plating. The pressure balanced pump (vs gear pump) provides upward of 20% more speed and efficiency and has a smoother sound."

To prevent hydraulic lock, which this category of lifts experience when pressuring in the down position, Sunstream added a pressure relief valve to the lowering side in addition to the raising side. The pump is also designed to accept bolt-on manifolds for either the SwiftShield automatic boat cover, or the FloatLift.

"Sunstream is committed to maximizing our customers' boating pleasure with higher performance, pleasing aesthetic designs and fun features," continued Hey. "Our customers value their boating experience and really depend on us to ensure that their lift to operates reliably every time. The SunLift X delivers on this promise, combining all the great features of the SunLift lines with this exciting new pump technology."
