As the week progresses the weather for sailing improves day on day! Four fabulous races were completed today with plenty of wind - it's safe to say the race team were really in the groove.

Local Netherlands team Doeke van Surksum and Sven van Dartel of VW Arne are topping the table with a 1,4,9,11, closely followed by the Italians Giulia Lusini and Camilla Parrinelli of Gruppo Vela L.N.I. Follonica who are the defending champions.

The United Kingdom's Ben Greenhalgh and Tom Sinfield of Port Dinorwic Sailing Club have slipped from their leading position down to third. As we now have four completed races in the final series, the sailors have the benefit of a discard, which has shown a shuffle in the top ten.

In the Women's Category, it's Italy's Giulia Lusini and Camilla Parrinelli who are dominating in first place, with a big gap to the next boat. Czech family power-house Monika Krenkova and Kristyna Krenkova of Yacht Club Lodni Sporty Brno are following in second with Italian's Vittoria Zana and Minerva Gipponi of Circolo Vela Gargnano in third. Positions are very tight, so expect second and third to chop and change with plenty to play for in the last day.

For the young guns, Netherland's Lucas van Eijk and Bram van Eijk of KWVL, are leading the Junior Category. Italy's Edoardo Bastini and Samuele Bardelli of Club Nautico San Bartolomeo al Mare are in second. Another home team, Netherland's Bram Ten Berge and Sacha Verwoolde of WV Braassemermeer, are currently in third.

In the mixed category, the United Kingdom's Zoe Lomas-Clarke and Mark Soars of Frensham Pond Sailing Club are leading ahead of Italy's Emma Bert and Achille Angelini of Fraglia Vela Riva. Father and daughter team, Estonia's Ants and Elin Haavel of HSS are close behind in third.

Finally, in the family teams, Lucas and Bram van Eijk from the Netherlands are up there at the top. Estonia's Ants and Elin Haavel are in second and Czech Republic's Monika and Kristyna Krenkova in third.

The final day of the RS Feva World Championships will see the race team try to complete the series with another four races. The forecast includes rain as well as wind, meaning sailors will have to deploy all of their mixed-weather strategies to stay in the game. A huge shout out to all of our sponsors, especially Magic Marine who are the official kit suppliers and are sponsoring the Worlds for a second year running.
