The Swarm Podcast Episode 16: Welcome to WASZP Island

180 WASZPs are descending on Sandefjord Norway and WASZP Island (Seilerholmen) in what is set to become one of the most incredible events ever hosted!

Not only is there a record number of WASZPs on the racecourse, but the fact we have the entire fleet on one island in the middle of a fjord in Norway adds to the mystic of this event. An incredible on-shore program will complement the on-water action with daily tech talks; the WASZP shop will be on the island and daily de-briefs with the top sailors of each day. The opening ceremony will be held in the middle of the city of Sandefjord and there will be multiple opportunities to party on the island.

Adding to this, the on-water action will be slightly different with a "SUPERCHARGED DAY" prior to the finals racing commencing, with slalom/sprint racing to take place as well as a marathon event covering the whole fjord with 180 WASZPs on the same racetrack.

We can't wait to bring it to you, make sure you are watching all our channels (below) as we move into the weekend with the pre-event the Norwegian Nationals.
