All Thriller, No Filler!

Lymington Town Sailing Club hosted an unforgettable Round 4 of the RS21 Cup. The Class welcomed new owners and old hands for three days hard racing mixed in with a little bit of social action in the sunshine!

What went down?

Friday: Big breeze, 25+ knots, wind against tide, big seas, and non-stop sunshine. It was a wild ride!

Saturday: Started light at 10 knots, then ramped up to 25+ knots. The tide shift gave us some great waves to surf on, all under a blazing sun.

Sunday: Light winds at 8 knots in the morning, building to mid-teens. Another sunny day to cap off the weekend.

Shoreline Shenanigans

Friday: The Harken dock party was a hit, with everyone enjoying some top tips from the leaders over a cold drink.

Saturday: The après-sail scene was buzzing at the bar, followed by a tasty Greek buffet. The vibe was fantastic with everyone sharing stories. Rules guru John Deorr gave a great talk to wrap up the night.

Highlights and Hot Topics

The last lap on Saturday was an epic. With 25+ knots and flat water, the RS21s flew around the windward mark. Faces were sore from grinning so much—this is what sailing is all about!

The 'Hot Topics' were all about making plans! The fleet heads to Cork Week in July then the National Champs at the Royal Dart YC in Dartmouth in August before heading down to Spain for the World Championships in late September. Big planning questions on the dock included; is Bournemouth the World's best airport... is Guinness overrated... and will the chairman's House at the Worlds become UK & Ireland party HQ?
