In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the CIC NORMANDY CHANNEL RACE is once again stepping up its development with an hour-long live broadcast of the start on LA CHAINE L'ÉQUIPE channel on Sunday 15 September 2024 from 11:00 to 12:00 UTC.

France's number one free sports channel, LA CHAINE L'ÉQUIPE boasts 6.6-million viewers each day. Set up with the support of the CIC, this device will be a first for the event on a national channel as well as for an event dedicated exclusively to Class40s. Extra production means have also been raised by the company 'Imagine in France', with a helicopter and an outside broadcasting van at Ouistreham. Initially scheduled for 11:30 UTC, the race start has been brought forward to 11:10 UTC.

LA CHAINE L'ÉQUIPE channel's daily Minute coverage over 9 days confirmed Live coverage of the start will be accompanied by the renewal of the daily Minute CIC NORMANDY CHANNEL RACE device on LA CHAINE L'ÉQUIPE channel from Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 September. The Minute coverage will also be broadcast on the L'ÉQUIPE.FR website with its 66-million daily visits (ACPM figures April 2024).

The historic partnership with FRANCE 3 also renewed. An integral part of the event since its creation, the FRANCE 3 NORMANDIE regional station will present the FRANCE 3 CIC NORMANDY CHANNEL RACE Minute coverage throughout the 12-day event from Wednesday 11 to Sunday 22 September. The programme will be broadcast on FRANCE 3 NORMANDIE and FRANCE 3 HAUTS EN FRANCE, with FRANCE 3 BRETAGNE to be confirmed.
