So, what went wrong?! What turned out to be the nicest day of the year, but only five boats racing!

The wind was a perfect strength despite the dubious direction (ESE) resulting in a zigzag course down the broad frustrated by constant shifts, particularly near the windward marks in the lee of the trees on the east bank of the Broad.

In the first series the Commodore and Dick Roe, in the club Laser 2000 didn't seem to get their act together, with first place going to Peter and Sian Robbins in Y&B small White and third place went to the Club secretary, Amanda Brooks, in her topper Blueberry.

In the second series Dick and Kate sorted themselves out and cruised to a comfortable win pushing Small White into second place followed by Phil and Liz Ollier in Y&B Tortoiseshell, Blueberry, then Y&B Cupido helmed by Kiera Mason.

Only two Y&Bs entered for the third series with Small White and Tortoiseshell neck and neck for the first half but Small white managed to get ahead and then extended his lead giving the line honours to Peter Robbins followed by the Olliers.

If the sailing didn't draw them in then the tea hut ably manned by Sarah and David Adler certainly did with a lovely spread of cakes.

Series 1 Combined Allcomers (Using lap-averaging):

1 Peter Robbins Small White
2 Dick Roe Laser 2000
3 Amanda Brooks Bluberry

Series 2 Combined Allcomers:

1 Dick Roe
2 Peter Robbins
3 Phil Ollier Tortoiseshell

Series 3 Y&B ODs:

1 Peter Robbins
2 Phil Ollier
