The wind forecast wasn't looking promising for the GP14 (Northern Bell Traveller Series) and Streaker Open held on the 5th May at West Lancashire Yacht Club. However, the light breeze was sufficient for the Race Officers to send the two fleets out as planned.

Mark Platt & Chris Jobson (GP14 - Bolton SC) and Steve Blackburn (Streaker - West Lancs YC) duly stamped their authority on their respective fleets.

On cue, the sunshine prompted a sea breeze to kick in for the afternoon races. Despite some close racing Mark & Chris and Steve continued to dominate proceedings and were the worthy trophy winners.

Thanks to the Race Officers for providing an excellent days sailing, our visitors from Bolton SC, Yorkshire Dales SC and Burwain SC and the onshore support from all our Club volunteers.
