2024 29er EuroCup #6 Sweden - Day 1

The first day of the GKSS OCR Regatta offered spectacular sun and somewhat weak and shifty winds, challenging the race organisation and keeping the IQFoils on shore. On the 29er course however, it was possible to get all four scheduled races in for the 25 participating boats and the fleet enjoyed the tight, challenging racing.
The 29er race area is very close to the harbour giving local spectators and supporters front row seats to the high performance racing from the pier.
Fortunately, the sailing enjoyed the best of the sunshine which disappeared in time for the after sail social gathering and the delicious pasta salad was ingested slightly faster than planned!
Provisional results can be found on our official electronic noticeboard, the first position after Day 1 is held by local mixed team, Selma Hård and Lukas Wolfgang.
