DF95 Spring Series at East Kent Radio Sailing Club

Light cyclonic winds and 180° direction changes during the 14 races stirred up the results of this second East Kent Radio SC DF95 Spring Series event at Conningbrook Lakes in Ashford, Kent.

Seven of nine earned podium results with five getting race wins. Usual culprits Dave Adams (358) and Mike Brand (875) won the first two, but then an extraordinarily consistent string of four wins from Adrian Tomlinson (30), with two more later, cemented an event win from Dave Adams with just three.

Mike Brand also got three bullets and third overall on a tie break with the consistent Alan Hounsell (380) who counted a win and a worst place fifth. The other race winner, also getting three 2nds was Peter Jackson (211), also with a worst place of 5th but still only 5th overall. 6th place also needed a tie break between Stephen Lines (436), with one 3rd place, and Peter Glover (26) with a best of 4th.

The spring series is now wide open with 5 events to go.

Eight events still to go and new entrants are welcome 14 races were run on a warm, sunny day with 2-8 knot winds for the 3rd East Kent RSC Summer Series regatta.
