Lagoon 60 christening

by Lagoon Catamarans 21 Mar 2024 14:28 GMT

Lagoon is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. For this special occasion, the brand invited customers to Lagoon Exclusive Days.

The European press and over 400 customers came from around the world to discover the full Lagoon product range, from the Lagoon 40 to the SEVENTY 8, and to explore the exceptional production facilities for Lagoon catamarans. This was a behind-the-scenes look and total immersion in the world of Lagoon, celebrating 40 years of innovation and striving for excellence.

The star of the event was the all-new Lagoon 60, presented in an advance world premiere!

This new 60-foot model, which takes her place between the Lagoon 55 and the Premium line - which begins with the SIXTY 5 - is a real invitation to travel. She has won over journalists and customers alike with her immense living spaces, notably the aft, entirely open to the sea, and her extra-large flybridge.

The christening took place on the evening of March 6th, under a beautiful sunset in the city of Bordeaux, France, in the presence of two prestigious godmothers, each of whom represented cherished values of the Lagoon brand: The Maison de Champagne Thiénot, which supplied bubbles to the delight of all the guests, and the non-profit association, Coral Guardian, with which Lagoon has partnered to restore and replant the world's coral reefs (already, over 1,660 corals have been replanted, thanks to the Lagoon community).

The next opportunity to tour the Lagoon 60 will be at the 2024 Cannes Boat Show.

Until then, the Lagoon 60 will continue its phase of technical sea trials: after 2 months already spent in the Atlantic, the boat will be sailing in the hands of all our experts as they conduct new quality testing.

The aft cockpit is entirely open to the sea, offering exceptional freedom. The innovative opening side terraces provide instant access to the sea for swimming. The aft cockpit, saloon, and forward cockpit are built on a single level, ideal for enjoying a panoramic view without having to watch your step. The owner's cabin is a peaceful haven. The bathroom is connected to the owner's cabin by two sliding doors, creating a cocoon of privacy, with direct access to the aft cockpit.
